Final Club Meeting for 2007-08

Tonight was our final club meeting for 2007-08. I really enjoyed this past year creating cards and scrapbook layouts. I look forward to an even better year to come!

Here are a couple of door prizes that I had for our last meeting.

Fun in Sea World

Last year, my niece and nephew from Atlanta and my nieces from New Jersey came to visit me over their Spring Breaks. That meant two trips to Sea World! We had a great time.

I love this layout. I'm going to tweak it just a little and use it for layout for the Stampin' and Scrappin' Club. I used the Summer Fun Simply Scrappin' kit. Those kits are wonderful. The color scheme is already put together for you and you get tons of stickers to use as embellishments.

Graduation Card

The student worker in my office is graduating on Saturday. I love the In the Stars stamp set from the Occasions Mini. I found this cute idea on Split Coast. It's hard for me to make masculine cards so this one gave me some practice!

May Club Meeting - Cards

We're going to do Thank You cards this month. Let me just say, that I LOVE the ladybug card! I was going through my stamp sets and came across Pick a Petal at the bottom of the stack. I realized that it was one of the first sets I bought when I became a demonstrator but we've never used it within our club. So I went out to Split Coast Stampers to get some ideas. Those ladies are SO creative. Several people had cards in which they fashioned lady bugs, bunnies, turkeys, and funny faces out of the petals!

May Club Meeting - Scrapbook

So, I've been had this idea for a layout for several months. I finally got it together in my head and worked on this weekend. I really liked how it came it out - the "patchwork" is my favorite part! I intentionally did not add any title to the layout. This is one that will be up to you. It can be used for Easter, Mother's Day, Spring time or Summer time. Whatever you need (and have pictures for!)

She's Alive !!

Wow! I can't believe it's been nearly a month since I last posted on the blog. I've been absolutely overwhelmed at work. However, I did manage to fit in a vacation to Northern California. I went with my sister, sister-in-law, nieces, and a couple of friends. The eight of us visited my cousin, Google, San Francisco, Monterey, Carmel, and Big Sur. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous (as you can see in the pictures). Unfortunately, it was back to reality all too soon. I've got a lot of catching up to do with my scrapbooking and card making. I plan to make alot of headway this week on some projects.
