Color/Sketch Challenge

Have you ever pictured something in your head, but when you tried to make a reality it turned out to be a dud?! Well, that's what happened to me with this card. I combined this week's sketch and color challenge. The colors were Real Red, Green Galore, and Night of Navy. I had something much cooler pictured in my head, not exactly the way this card turned out! But, I need a card for my nephew's birthday tomorrow (who lives in Georgia), so I've got to get this in the mail! Oh well, better luck next time.

SCS Challenges

I combined the color and sketch challenges for this week from Split Coast Stampers. I really like the "Birthday Whimsy" stamp set from the Sale-a-bration catalog. To my club members - this stamp set will be featured at our February meeting !!

I thought the card was a little plain so I tried to dress it up a little by using iridescent embossing over the gifts. Unfortunately, the camera didn't pick that up very well!

Recipe:
Stamp Sets: Birthday Whimsy, Baroque Motifs
Cardstock: Real Red, Blue Bayou, Soft Sky, Whisper White
Ink: Blue Bayou, Versamark
Markers: Real Red
Accessories: Iridescent Embossing Powder
