Belated Birthday

With eleven nieces and nephews, it's inevitable that I forget a birthday or two. I was on vacation a couple of weeks ago and totally forgot my nephew George's birthday. So, I used Kristina Werner's Color Challenge for his (belated) birthday card.

The colors were great - very vibrant. I really like the way this turned out. It's kind of hard to see in the picture, but I used a polka dot texture plate on the yellow portion of the card. I also added some Dazzling Diamonds to the top of the cupcakes!

Christmas Photo Cards

I get tons of Christmas photo cards every year. It's a shame to put them in a box so I decided to use the ones of nieces, nephews, and cousins' kids in a layout. I really like the way this turned out. I used a layout done by Lindsey as inspiration, but I changed it up a bit to fit the pictures!

Tuesday's with Morley - April Cards

Here are the cards we will be doing for the month of April. We'll be learning a couple of new techniques to boot!

This card uses watercolor crayons and aqua painters. An alternative method is to use markers, colored pencils, or stampin' pastels. I looked at dozens of samples for this stamp set on Split Coast Stampers. I think this is a compilation of many I saw but I can't remember who to thank!

Hello Darlin'!

Here is my submission for Kristina Werner's Color Challenge this week. I really liked the color combination! Sorry the lighting on the picture is so bad. The sun had already gone down when I finished, and I don't have good lighting inside.

I think this Darling Dots stamp set is adorable. It's proven to be very versatile.

Football Fun!

The great thing about leading the Tuesday's with Morley club is that I'm able to keep up with my current scrapbooking. However, I'm still WAY behind in getting caught up with my scrapbooks from years past. The retreat is a great way to for me to make some inroads in this area.

I graduated from Oklahoma State University and middle brother, Michael, graduated from the University of Georgia. Our two schools played each other in football in 2007. I traveled to Georgia for the big game and had a great time! I've never experienced a football game of this magnitude before - the amount of people and size of the stadium were amazing!
